Mandy Deguara is a Maltese warranted and licensed social worker and a Systemic Psychotherapist with over 15 years experience working in the social field. Mandy adopts a holistic and collaborative approach in therapy. She has vast experience in working with addictions, general mental health and in supporting individuals, couples and families navigate life’s challenges and emotional struggles.
Mandy, a certified Professional Practitioner of Animal Assisted Play Therapy, involves Luigi an approved blind cat, into her therapy sessions. Mandy involves Luigi in playful and creative ways in therapy. Luigi enjoys this process as he likes to interact and play with people. He is particularly fond of his treats and wands! She is training her puppy named Pinu to potentially become an AAPT approved dog. Mandy loves to unwind with her family, friends and pets in nature as it helps her to replenish and feel grounded.
