Katharine Wenocur is a graduate of the master’s and doctoral programs in social work at The University of Pennsylvania, where she also teaches an elective on animal assisted therapy. A registered play therapist, Katharine works in private practice with children, young adults, and families, and provides supervision to social workers seeking clinical licensure. She often integrates Winston and Tallulah (“Tally”), her two AAPT-Approved dogs, into her work. Katharine conducted her dissertation research on the implementation of AAPT with children healing from trauma and homelessness, and she hopes to continue conducting research about the human-animal bond.
