Karen is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Montana and California with over nineteen years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families specializing in ages 3-18. Karen is also a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, Certified Animal Assisted Play Therapist® and a Certified Autplay® Therapy provider. She has been trained in Theraplay®, Sandtray, is a Nurtured Heart Approach® trainer, and has training for being an Adoption Competent Therapist (TAC). Karen graduated from George Fox University with a BS in Psychology and a MA in Marriage and Family Therapy. Her work has included providing services in community-based settings, a foster family agency, a private practice setting, and has provided clinical supervision for therapists. Theo is a Chocolate Labrador who has an AKC Canine Good Citizen Certificate and has been registered as a therapy dog through Pet Partners. Theo has a passion for tennis balls, water, tummy rubs and people who provide a lot of pets. Theo has joined Karen in working community settings such as, homes and schools.
